Metyis is growing and seeking a Frontend WooCommerce Developer with 1-3 years of experience for a full-time position to join our Technology team. Design, develop, and maintain WooCommerce-based e-commerce websites while customizing plugins and themes. Integrate WooCommerce with third-party APIs like payment gateways and shipping services. Optimize performance and resolve technical issues to ensure seamless user experience.

Work in a collaborative environment with highly skilled multidisciplinary experts. Speak your mind and be creative with your knowledge alongside designers, content creators, and other developers. Collaborate with team lead, scrum masters, and Platform Engineers on architecture and guidelines.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in WooCommerce and WordPress development
Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL
Strong understanding of e-commerce platform architecture, Design and Configurations
Experience with WooCommerce hooks, filters, and custom post types
Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party API integrations
Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development
Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain WooCommerce-based e-commerce websites and customize WooCommerce plugins and themes
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance WooCommerce functionality adhering to WordPress coding standards
Integrate WooCommerce with third-party APIs and services such as payment gateways, shipping services, and marketing tools
Optimize website performance including improving load times, scalability, and overall site efficiency
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to WooCommerce ensuring minimal downtime
Implement best practices for securing WooCommerce websites including regular updates and security patches
Work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to implement new features
Use version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate effectively
